Hotel des Lys

Great location, walking distance to the Palace, restaurants and the train station. Breakfast was very good with more options than what you typically see. Sam at the front desk was very pleasant and extremely helpful. He provided step by step directions on getting around on the trains with multiple transfers. We didn't have any problem getting to our destination in Paris, and back. Parking our large SUV at the hotel was easy. Overall a great stay!

The room was small (urban area), my pants were soaked from arriving in the rain. I found myself wishing the room had clothes hangers for pants so they could dry. And I found pant clothes hangers in the room. Then I found myself wishing for an extra pillow and blanket and I found these things in the room. The accommodations very thoughtfully provided everything we needed. Breakfast was wonderful (although thank goodness we were one of the first arrivals because the room became very loud and very busy with all the travel tours). We asked if we could leave our luggage while we visited Versailles and they accommodated this. When we came back from visiting Versailles we brought food purchased nearby and were so tired and asked if we could sit at the breakfast tables to eat and they let us. We interacted with 2 different employees and both were so pleasant and friendly and helpful and kind.

Friendly staff. Elevator was great to have and fit a wheelchair. Excellent location for food and transportation. Walking distance to chateau but busses are near by. Modern bathroom with shower. Comfy beds and foldout couch. Mini fridge and kettle were great. Very clean and quiet. The whole town seemed safe.

Cute little hotel in a great, central location. Nice touch to have a fridge in the room. Delicious croissants for breakfast. Very friendly staff. The hotel does have its own parking in a secure courtyard area but it's limited and a bit tight. You can't book it. The only available space was way too small for our car but we were allowed to leave our car overnight in the loading area out front of the hotel until a space came free the next day so that was very helpful.

I researched a lot before booking here and was very happy with the stay. The hotel was no frills, but very pleasant. Walking distance to many restaurants and 10 min taxi ride to palace. Rooms were small but very efficiently designed so there was enough space to put everything. Rooms and hotel were very clean and well maintained. Air conditioning worked perfectly. Breakfast was reasonably priced and great start to day. Very nice staff. Would stay here again.
